Why it matters

Fremantle have the minor premiership sewn up, but almost everything else in the eight is live. Western Bulldogs, on 50 points, can put real pressure on eighth-placed Collingwood (52) with a win over Melbourne, while Adelaide, Geelong and Hawthorn are all within a game of each other in the 56–60-point cluster jammed around third to seventh.

One round after that, the ladder locks in for finals. This is the last weekend to move.
